Garbage collection rules have changed across Waterloo Region, and keeping track of the new schedule can be confusing. To make things easier, I’ve created area-specific magnetic collection calendars that you can keep right on your fridge so you always know what goes to the curb and when.

Timeline to Watch

1. July 2025

   • Option to select smaller garbage cart by calling 519-575-4400

2. October 2025–February 2026

   • Delivery of carts and containers to households, check Waste Whiz App for your area timeline

3. March 2026

   • Official switch to cart-based curbside collection begins
